EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE
COOKING
Part of the Care House ministry is to provide meals for emergency and needy situations in the community. This activity is carried out on a weekly basis by a volunteer where food is prepared, cooked and frozen for future distribution to those in need. Our cook provides a variety of foods, both Australian and Indian. Some of the ingredients used are grown and harvested from the Care House garden.
BREAD RUN
There is a distribution of bread carried out on a weekly basis made possible by the generosity of a number of local bakeries donating their excess stock to the Care House. Two “runs” are carried out every Friday morning by volunteers, to up to 50 needy families in the local area.
