Peninsula Christian Care

Peninsula Christian Care is the Community arm of Peninsula City Church and is a registered charity with Tax Deductible status for donations over $2.  We provide a range of community services including the following;

Pantry Plus

Pantry Plus offers food and toiletries provision and wholistic support for those in need. The pantry is filled with basic essentials; non-perishable goods, toiletries and frozen meals. Fresh fruit and vegetables will also be offered whenever possible.
Pantry Plus recognises that all those seeking assistance deserve to be treated with care, compassion and respect. We extend non-judgmental and empathetic support, seeking to share the hope and acceptance that Christ generously extends to all people.
If you are in need of food assistance, bookings are essential and can be made by calling 03 5971 4877 between 10AM - 1PM (Mon & Thurs). Pantry Plus operates every Tuesday 10am – 2:30pm, at the White House, just behind the main church building (just head up the driveway and continue up the side of the church until you get to the carport on yoru right).  Please call the office on the number above or click here to book online.

If you are wanting to donate to Pantry Plus, we gladly welcome donations of non-perishable items that can be dropped off at the church.

Emergency Food Relief

As part of our Pantry Plus ministry, we are able to provide a small box of non-perishable food items and some frozen meals for people in the community who have emergency needs outside of Pantry Plus hours. The meals have been lovingly made by members of the church.
We are able to offer this emergency food relief on a case by case basis on Mon & Thurs (10AM - 1PM) and they can be collected from the church office. Please call beforehand to arrange a time to come in.

Frankston Winter Shelter

People Encouraging and Nurturing Students (PENS)

PENS is a mentoring program for primary school students held at their school. The aim of the program is to support students who are going through a difficult time and would benefit from the undivided attention of an encouraging adult. The mentor/buddy meets with their allocated student for one hour on a weekly basis and spend the time doing some fun activities or just simply having a chat over a cup of hot chocolate. The role of the mentor is to come alongside their student and walk with them on their journey, encouraging them and cheering them along on the way. This can have a lasting positive impact on a child’s life and is also very rewarding for the mentor.
Please call Peninsula Christian Care if you would like to find out more on becoming a PENS mentor.

No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS)

Peninsula Christian Care helps to coordinate the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) provided by Good Shepherd for people seeking financial assistance to pay for essential goods and services in the Frankston region. Click here for more information about what loans can be used for and how to apply. When you are ready to go ahead with a loan, please call us and we will make a loan application appointment for you.

Crossroads Prison Ministries

Crossroads Prison Ministries is all about the good news of Jesus. It is only Jesus who breaks the chains of the prisoner and brings true freedom to all who come to him, regardless of where they are or have been. They are uniquely placed to help churches and their members reach those in prison with the good news of Jesus, through teaching and mentoring, pastoral care, and prayer.

Through Peninsula Christian Care there is an opportunity to become a mentor to someone currently in prison.
